Dr Payman – Dentist

AHPRA Registration No: DEN0004001109

Dr Payman is your friendly Toronto-born dentist who somehow ended up in the heart of Australia (don’t worry, he didn’t get here by outrunning a herd of angry moose—though that would’ve been a story). He went from dodging moose and deer in Canada to dodging kangaroos in Australia, so if his reflexes seem extra sharp, now you know why.

He’s had quite the journey—living in France, Italy, the UK, and now Australia—so don’t be surprised if he throws in a “bonjour,” “ciao,” or “G’day mate” mid-conversation. He even played for the British Dentists Football Club—yes, it’s a real thing! So, if you ever see him running late, he was probably trying to bend it like Beckham in the clinic hallway.

Dentistry, With a Personal Touch

Dr Payman believes that visiting the dentist doesn’t have to be stressful. His relaxed, friendly approach helps patients feel more comfortable during their appointments, and he aims to make every visit a positive experience.

He provides a full range of general dental services, from routine check-ups to more involved restorative treatments, with a focus on clear communication and patient comfort. Dr Payman takes the time to explain each step of treatment and encourages patients to ask questions, so they can make informed decisions about their oral health care.

Music, Travel & Random Conversations

One thing about Dr Payman—he loves music, and there’s often something playing quietly in the background during appointments. He enjoys creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere, and is always happy to chat about favourite artists or new songs (or take a request or two).

Having travelled and lived in several countries, Dr Payman enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about their experiences. He values good conversation but also understands that sometimes patients prefer a quiet moment — and he’s perfectly fine with that too.

The Classic Dentist Move + A Little Surprise

Like most dentists, Dr Payman may ask you a question just as you’re trying to answer with a mouth full of instruments — he promises it’s not a test of your communication skills, just part of the job.

You might also notice that he sometimes switches hands while he works. Being left-handed and ambidextrous, he uses both for precision and comfort — something patients often find interesting about his technique.

Dr Payman enjoys getting to know his patients and aims to make each appointment as relaxed and comfortable as possible. He looks forward to welcoming new and returning patients to the DentalCareXtra family in Moranbah.
