Dental Monitoring at DentalCareXtra
DentalCareXtra uses Dental Monitoring technology to track orthodontic treatment progress remotely.
Please note: Dental Monitoring is a remote monitoring tool used alongside orthodontic treatment. It does not replace regular dental appointments when necessary.

What Is Dental Monitoring?
If you have a smartphone, we can monitor your orthodontic treatment progress using Dental Monitoring. Your dentist is able to see and evaluate your treatment progress or post-treatment stability remotely, using photographs, tendency graphs, and 3D matching technology.
Dental Monitoring uses your smartphone camera system. You take photos of your teeth on a regular basis using the Dental Monitoring app (available for iPhone and Android).
How Does Dental Monitoring Work?
Taking pictures: The Dental Monitoring app allows you to take pictures at any time and place. The process takes a few minutes.
Analysis: Your pictures are analysed by algorithmic software and the results are verified by your dentist.
Remote monitoring: Your dentist reviews your treatment progress or post-treatment stability remotely using the photographs, tendency graphs, and 3D matching technology.
Important: You must take photographs as scheduled and attend required in-person appointments. Remote monitoring may reduce appointment frequency during some treatment phases, but cannot replace all clinical examinations.
Treatment Considerations
Dental Monitoring is used alongside orthodontic treatment such as clear aligners or braces. Orthodontic treatment involves risks including temporary tooth sensitivity or discomfort, gum or cheek irritation, and mild soreness. Treatment success requires wearing aligners or appliances as directed, maintaining excellent oral hygiene, and attending all required appointments. Treatment outcomes vary based on compliance and individual response.
